Archie Bradley Joins Phillies Bullpen
4 years agoThe Philadelphia Phillies signed relief pitcher Archie Bradley to a one-year, $6 million deal on Thursday, according to sources. Bradley didn't get re-signed by the Reds after he was acquired from the Diamondbacks in a midseason deal in 2020. The right-hander allowed just one run in his 7 2/3 innings with Cincinnati in six regular season outings. Overall, Bradley went 2-0 with a 2.95 ERA and 18 strikeouts in 16 outings with Arizona and Cincinnati. Bradley started 26 games in 2016 before moving to the bullpen permanently. He has 28 career saves and a 3.91 ERA in 255 outings since entering the majors in 2015. The 28-year-old should really boost a Philadelphia bullpen that has been poor in recent seasons. Both Bradley and Hector Neris could share save opportunities for the Phillies in 2021, making them both worth late-round selections in fantasy drafts.
