Anthony Rizzo With Homer Monday Versus Milwaukee
6 years agoChicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo looked to be a hero Monday versus the Brewers for a short time. Rizzo caught up to a pitch by elite reliever Josh Hader and hit it into the stands to give the Cubs a 3-2 lead in the eighth inning. It was the first homer Hader had allowed to a left-handed hitter in his major league career. In fact, the last time Hader allowed a lefty to homer off him, it was August 14, 2015 in Double-A. His heroics would be squandered as the Brewers came back to win. Rizzo is up to 24 HR and 90 RBI this season. He struggled early in the season with his batting average but as the summer went on, he eventually heated up and is on pace to still help his fantasy owners despite not reaching the limits of his potential. Rizzo should be owned in all leagues he is eligible for.
