Anthony Rizzo Leaves After Being Hit By Pitch

New York Yankees first baseman Anthony Rizzo (elbow) left the game early on Monday against the Oakland Athletics after being hit by a pitch on his right elbow. It's unclear how serious Rizzo's injury is right now, but he's expected to go for X-rays. Fantasy managers need to stay tuned on a potential announcement later in the evening. The 32-year-old left-handed slugger entered Monday's contest hitting just .221 on the season, but he also has slugged 19 home runs, driven in 49 runs, scored 42 runs and stolen six bases in 72 games and 305 plate appearances. If Rizzo is forced to miss extended time, he'd need to be stashed in all fantasy leagues, while DJ LeMahieu could be the best candidate to see most of the starts at the cold corner.
