Anthony Rizzo Exits Sunday's Game Early
1 year agoNew York Yankees first baseman Anthony Rizzo (wrist) left Sunday's game against the San Diego Padres early after sustaining an injury on a pickoff attempt. It's unclear what injury occurred on the play, but Rizzo was shaken up on a pickoff attempt of Fernando Tatis Jr. Tatis' knee appeared to hit Rizzo in the wrist/shoulder area on the awkward play. Rizzo was 1-for-3 with an RBI before going out and has been replaced in the lineup by Greg Allen, who is taking over at third base as DJ LeMahieu shifts over to cover first. The Yankees should provide an update on Rizzo following the game.
