Anthony Richardson Participating In Thursday's Practice
2 months agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson (oblique) logged a limited practice on Wednesday with an oblique injury, and he is back on the field for Thursday's practice session. The 22-year-old exited the Week 4 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers twice before ultimately being ruled out, but it appears he could start the Week 5 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. After an overall QB4 finish in Week 1, Richardson has failed to finish among the top 20 quarterbacks in each of the last three weeks. His start to the season is not what fantasy managers expected, but if he plays in Week 5, he should be in a great spot for production. The Colts could be without Jonathan Taylor (ankle), and the Jaguars have allowed the most fantasy points per game to QBs through the first month of the new campaign. If he doesn't produce in this matchup, his rest-of-season outlook will become bleak. If Richardson cannot suit up, veteran Joe Flacco will get the start, and Colts wideouts Michael Pittman Jr. and Josh Downs will have higher ceilings. UPDATE: Richardson was limited for the second straight day on Thursday.
