2 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards (ankle) did not return to Friday's loss to the Chicago Bulls. Edwards logged only eight minutes before suffering the sprained right ankle that ended his night. He was observed in a boot, which isn't a good sign. However, he'll undergo further testing to determine the severity of the injury. The 21-year-old, who played 72 games in each of the last two seasons, has been as durable as it can get. He's averaged a career-high 25 points this season, so it will be a tough blow for Minnesota if he misses extended time. Nevertheless, while Edwards is sidelined, Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Austin Rivers could receive additional work.
