12 months agoMinnesota Timberwolves guard/forward Anthony Edwards went off for a career-high 51 points in Tuesday's 130-121 win over Washington. The T-Wolves got run over in the first quarter, falling 44-25 behind, but led by Edwards, the team was able to turn things around. He had 30 points in the second half, finishing the game with 17-for-29 shooting. Edwards made all of his 11 attempts at the charity stripe and hit six three-point bombs with 13 attempts. His work across 38 minutes included six rebounds and seven assists. The Timberwolves star will be back out on the court Wednesday night in a pivotal battle against Denver to decide the top seed in the Western Conference, and we should see him trying to grab the game by the scruff of the neck again.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

1 month agoMinnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards (calf) will play on Sunday against Phoenix. He wasn't available for Friday's loss to the Jazz because of a calf injury, marking his third absence of the 2024-25 campaign. Terrence Shannon Jr. entered the starting lineup, finishing with an impressive 17 points, five assists and four boards. But with Edwards and Julius Randle (groin) back in the mix, Shannon likely won't be as productive, although he's played well enough to at least see some minutes on Sunday night.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

1 month agoMinnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards (suspension) has been suspended for receiving his 16th technical foul of the season and will miss Friday's game against the Utah Jazz. This is only a one-game suspension, so he should return on Sunday to face the Phoenix Suns. In the meantime, Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Terrence Shannon Jr. should both see added time, especially if Donte DiVincenzo (questionable - toe) doesn't suit up. Alexander-Walker posted 14 points, two rebounds, two assists, one steal, and one block while Shannon had 25 points, five rebounds, and two assists in their last game on Thursday.--Alex Fischbein - RotoBaller

1 month agoMinnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards (calf) is listed as questionable ahead of Thursday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Edwards has been dealing with a sore right calf lately, but it hasn't forced him to the sideline. He has played in six straight games and nearly notched a triple-double during his last two games. The expectation is that Edwards is going to be out there, barring any setbacks. If he sits, Nickeil Alexander-Walker would likely start and see increased fantasy value.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

1 month agoMinnesota Timberwolves guard/forward Anthony Edwards (hip) will play on Friday against the Houston Rockets. The three-time All-Star has been a regular on the injury report lately due to a hip issue, and the team initially listed him as questionable. However, Alan Horton of Timberwolves Radio reports that head coach Chris Finch has confirmed that Edwards will play. On Friday, Edwards faces a challenging matchup against a top defensive team, but Houston has struggled to contain him. Over the previous three games this season, Edwards has averaged 31.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.7 blocks against the Rockets.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
