9 months agoThe San Jose Sharks and forward Anthony Duclair are not discussing any contract extension, the player told Curtis Pashelka on Monday. Duclair will almost certainly be moved prior to the March 8 NHL trade deadline if a contract extension is indeed not in the cards for the veteran. Duclair has recorded 11 goals and 19 points across 51 games on the season, along with 84 shots and a minus-12 rating. The 28-year-old tallied 31 goals as recently as the 2021-22 season and would be a solid offensive depth addition for a contending team down the stretch. The Sharks currently sit 31st in the NHL with a 15-36-5 record and will be full-blown sellers at the deadline.--Brenton Kemp
