Anthony DeSclafani Exits Saturday's Start Early
2 years agoSan Francisco Giants starting pitcher Anthony DeSclafani was removed from Saturday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks with an apparent injury. The right-hander left after attempting to field a grounder off the bat of Ketel Marte. He allowed three runs on five hits and one walk while striking out two over five innings before leaving. The 33-year-old threw 77 pitches, landing 46 for strikes. The Giants will provide an update on DeSclafani after the game; he is considered day-to-day for now. DeSclafani is tentatively scheduled to the Miami Marlins on Friday. Fantasy managers must continue monitoring the situation before inserting him into their starting lineups for Week 8.
