Anthony Bass Pitching Well Since A Terrible Start
4 years agoMiami Marlins relief pitcher Anthony Bass started off the season as the team's closer but was quickly removed from the role after a horrendous start. Despite being removed from the ninth inning, Marlins manager Don Mattingly kept sending him out for the eighth inning, where Bass continued to struggle. Lately though, he's been pitching in the seventh inning and seems to have found his spot. In his last 13 outings, he's thrown 11 1/3 innings with a 0.79 ERA and a .159 opponent's batting average. He could be working his way back into holds league value.
