Anthony Bass Blows Another Save On Thursday
4 years agoMiami Marlins closer Anthony Bass blew another save in the Marlins 3-2 loss to the New York Mets on Thursday. Bass came in to protect a one-run lead and was only able to get one out. He allowed an upper deck home run to Jeff McNeill and then loaded the bases, only to hit Michael Conforto with a pitch that was also a called strike three (just watch the video). Bass is now 0-2 with two blown saves in two chances and a 23.14 ERA, but of course manager Don Mattingly gave him the "he's our guy" treatment after the game, so Bass is in no real danger of losing his job any time soon. He should probably lose his job on most fantasy teams, though.
