Anthony Alfredo Wants to Compete in Daytona 500
1 year agoAnthony Alfredo will be making his second-ever attempt at the Daytona 500 on Monday afternoon, as he will pilot the No. 62 Chevrolet for Beard Motorsports. This organization isn't full-time and really only attempts superspeedway races, but that doesn't mean that they should be overlooked. Austin Hill finished 14th with this car in the second Daytona race last season, and in 2022, Noah Gragson piloted the No. 62 Chevrolet to a fifth-place here at Daytona as well. This weekend, Alfredo will start from the very last row (39th-place) but that doesn't mean he's going to finish there. "We're not here to ride around and just be a part of the race. We want to go race and have a shot at the end," Alfredo said. He's a great place differential pick to make in DraftKings contests.

Anthony Alfredo Has Never Finished Worse Than 12th At Talladega
6 months agoThe sample size is small, but Anthony Alfredo has been very good at Talladega Superspeedway. "Fast Pasta" made his first career start at this track back in the spring of 2021, coming home with a 12th-place finish for Front Row Motorsports in their No. 38 Ford. He then posted a 10th-place result in the fall Talladega race that same year. Alfredo's next Talladega start came earlier this season, when he jumped in the No. 62 Chevrolet for Beard Motorsports. He started 24th and ended up finishing sixth when it was all said and done. Will the good runs continue this weekend? Alfredo qualified 33rd for Sunday's YellaWood 500, which gives him tremendous upside for Place Differential points in the race, but since he's only a very limited, part-time driver, a lot of DFS players are likely to overlook Alfredo. It's worth having plenty of exposure with "Fast Pasta" this weekend.

Anthony Alfredo Gets Best Finish For Beard Motorsports Since 2022
12 months agoIt was a good day at Talladega for Anthony Alfredo and Beard Motorsports, as they were able to avoid the chaos late and walk away with a sixth-place finish in the GEICO 500. That's the best result for the organization since the 2022 season, when Noah Gragson delivered a fifth-place finish for them at Daytona. Beard Motorsports only runs a handful of races each season, so it's nice to see them finish up front when they do. For Alfredo, this was another good result for him at Talladega, as he now has three straight finishes of 12th or better at the track. After the race, the driver stated, "I hung a hard left, went through the grass, was able to hang onto it, avoid the chaos, and make it to the start-finish line sixth, so what a great day for this team." Alfredo's finish paid off nicely for bettors as well, as he was listed at 14-to-1 odds for a top-10 result at Talladega.

Anthony Alfredo A Great DFS Sleeper Option At Talladega
12 months agoBeard Motorsports doesn't race many events in the NASCAR Cup Series, so seeing the No. 62 Chevrolet on the track this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway may seem unfamiliar, but don't count out Anthony Alfredo from getting a good finish in the GEICO 500. Alfredo actually has a solid track record here at Talladega, as posted finishes of 12th and 10th in the two races he ran here back in 2021 while with Front Row Motorsports. This weekend, he qualified 24th for the GEICO 500, which makes "Fast Pasta" a great tournament option in DraftKings DFS contests. Because so many players will be flocking toward the bigger names starting outside of the top 20 for this race, Alfredo's ownership on DraftKings is likely to be quite low despite his place differential upside from starting 24th. Alfredo is a very good low-dollar DFS option this weekend in tournaments.

Anthony Alfredo Locked Into Daytona 500 On Speed
1 year agoAnthony Alfredo will be driving the No. 62 Chevrolet for Beard Motorsports in the Daytona 500 this season. Alfredo was one of two "Open" drivers that locked themselves in on speed during qualifying at Daytona on Wednesday evening. Now, the Beard Motorsports team won't have to worry about racing their way into Sunday's Great American Race during the Duel race on Thursday night, as Alfredo is already guaranteed a spot thanks to his speed in qualifying. Alfredo has just one top-10 finish in 38 career NASCAR Cup Series starts, but it came at Talladega, a track similar to Daytona. At Daytona specifically, Alfredo has finishes of 32nd- and 26th-place to his credit with just two career starts.
