Angels Suspend Pitching Coach Mickey Callaway
4 years agoThe Los Angeles Angels suspended pitching coach Mickey Callaway on Tuesday after he was accused by five women of inappropriate behavior that included sending shirtless photographs, a request for nude pictures and other advances. The accusations span five years and included Callaway's run as pitching coach for the Cleveland Indians and manager of the New York Mets. The Angels have chosen to suspend Callaway indefinitely while they work with Major League Baseball to conduct a full investigation of the allegations against Callaway. Of course, there's a chance that the Angels ultimately fire Callaway after they conduct their investigation. It could ultimately help their pursuit of free-agent starting pitcher Trevor Bauer, as it's been reported that Bauer and Callaway have an unfixable relationship from their time together in Cleveland.
