4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals left-handed pitcher Andrew Miller has been placed on the 10-day injured list retroactive to Monday due to fatigue in his pitching shoulder. Miller has primarily held down closer duties for the Cardinals since they returned to play earlier this month, with his replacement not yet having been divulged. The only other Cardinals with a save to their credit this season are Kwang Hyun Kim, who is now a member of the starting rotation, and Giovanny Gallegos, who would be the likeliest candidate for the ninth moving forward.--Jesse Borek
