7 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies backup catcher Andrew Knapp made his third start in four games Wednesday night as his club wrapped up a series against the Atlanta Braves. The 26-year-old picked up two hits in defeat, scoring the first run of the game on a single from his starting pitcher, Vince Velasquez. Knapp has now played in 11 games and is hitting .233 with seven hits in 40 plate appearances. While Jorge Alfaro remains the regular starting catcher, Knapp’s continued time playing makes him a possible streamer at his position.--RDelgado
