1 year agoSeattle Mariners relief pitcher Andres Munoz (hip) was used out of the bullpen on Monday night in the extra-inning loss to the Los Angeles Angels and threw a scoreless inning while allowing two hits and striking out one batter. Munoz dealt with hip tightness over the weekend but returned to action to begin the week and should be able to avoid a trip to the injured list. The 24-year-old right-hander remains very valuable in fantasy leagues down the stretch as one of the team's primary options for saves. Munoz has been solid in his late-inning bullpen role this year, posting a 2.95 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, 60 strikeouts, 12 saves and 13 holds in 42 2/3 innings of work.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
