5 years agoLos Angeles Angels shortstop Andrelton Simmons (ankle) will not come off the injured list on Wednesday, but he'll be back very soon. Simmons just restarted a rehab assignment with Single-A Inland Empire on Tuesday, so there's a chance that Simmons rejoins the lineup this weekend. The 29-year-old has been out since May 20 with a sprained ankle and is hitting .298/.323/.415 with three home runs, 21 RBI, 22 runs and five steals on the season. Simmons can help you as middle infield depth in deep mixed leagues for his high average and speed. He was one of the team's better bats before landing on the shelf.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
