Andrelton Simmons Swats Second Homer

Minnesota Twins shortstop Andrelton Simmons came up big for his team in a key situation during Sunday's loss to the Athletics. Simmons stepped up to the plate with one man on and his team down two in the eighth inning- and belted a game-tying homer on the first pitch of the at-bat. It was just his second long ball of the season, as the defensive-minded shortstop owns a .695 OPS in 2021. Simmons should only be considered for fantasy purposes in deeper points formats, though there are likely better options available at the shortstop position.
