Amir Garrett Picks Up His Sixth Save
3 years agoCincinnati Reds left-hander Amir Garrett got the final two outs of a 3-2 win over the Chicago Cubs on Sunday. Garrett allowed one hit and walked one batter but was able to keep the Cubs off of the board, earning a save in the process. Garrett now has a 0-2 record, 7.01 ERA, 1.60 WHIP, six saves, and 32 strikeouts in 25 2/3 innings of work. He has lost save chances to Heath Hembree over the past two games but Garrett should remain in the mix for saves while Tejay Antone and Lucas Sims are on the injured list.
