4 years agoUPDATE: Jeffery is out for Week 6. Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Alshon Jeffery (foot, illness) could suit up and play in Week 6 against the Baltimore Ravens. Jeffery was not ready to start the season due to a foot injury, and then just as he was trending upwards for Week 5, he came down with a non-COVID related illness. Thursday and Friday's practice reports will tell a more clear story, but Jeffery could be ready to make his debut in Week 6. If he does, it will be against a tough Baltimore defense and as a part of a struggling Eagles offense. Carson Wentz has desperately needed a big chain-moving receiver like Jeffery though, so he may see a good number of targets as long as he stays healthy. Still, he's far too risky to start in most formats even if he's healthy.
