New York Islanders defenseman Alexander Romanov (upper body) will not be available on Tuesday against Pittsburgh. He remains day-to-day and will miss a second consecutive game. The Islanders have had a chance to use Romanov just once in the past five games as the Russian rearguard battles an upper-body injury. Adam Pelech (jaw) and Mike Reilly (upper body) are also out, giving Dennis Cholowski an opportunity to skate with Noah Dobson on the first defensive pairing. As a result of the injuries, we will also see Isaiah George make his NHL debut on Tuesday. George joins the lineup after posting two points (one goal, one assist) in four AHL appearances. He will link up with Grant Hutton on the third defensive pairing.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

New York Islanders defenseman Alexander Romanov (illness) will not be in the starting lineup on Tuesday evening against the Pittsburgh Penguins. Romanov is battling an illness. Fantasy managers should keep an eye on his status leading up to their next contest on Thursday evening against the Montreal Canadiens. Before this illness, Romanov was riding a seven-game scoreless streak. During this stretch, Romanov logged 19 hits and 21 blocked shots with a -2 rating. Before this skid, Romanov tallied nine points (four goals) over his last 13 games. During this span, Romanov averaged an impressive 3.4 blocked shots per game.
