Alexander Romanov Remains Sidelined Tuesday
3 weeks agoNew York Islanders defenseman Alexander Romanov (upper body) will not be available on Tuesday against Pittsburgh. He remains day-to-day and will miss a second consecutive game. The Islanders have had a chance to use Romanov just once in the past five games as the Russian rearguard battles an upper-body injury. Adam Pelech (jaw) and Mike Reilly (upper body) are also out, giving Dennis Cholowski an opportunity to skate with Noah Dobson on the first defensive pairing. As a result of the injuries, we will also see Isaiah George make his NHL debut on Tuesday. George joins the lineup after posting two points (one goal, one assist) in four AHL appearances. He will link up with Grant Hutton on the third defensive pairing.
