Alexandar Georgiev Records Another Shutout
5 years agoNew York Rangers goaltender Alexandar Georgiev recorded his second shutout in four games on Sunday, stopping 38 shots in a 5-0 win at Vegas. Only six Rangers players failed to pick up a point, and Georgiev looked like a human wall when he had to make 17 saves already in the opening frame. The Russian has now won four of his last five starts to improve his record for the year to 8-5-1. He's carrying a 2.68 goals-against average and a .926 save percentage. Pekka Rinne is the only goalie in the league with more shutouts (3) than him.
