6 years agoCincinnati Reds manager David Bell has no timetable for starting pitcher Alex Wood's (back) return, but the skipper said the original mid-April timeline might have been "a little aggressive." The left-hander still has to build up his innings and won't be back anytime soon, which means that Tyler Mahle will stick around in the rotation for a while longer. Wood is useful in mixed leagues and can be an innings-eater, but his health is always a concern and he'll now be pitching in one of the more hitter-friendly environments in baseball.
