2 years agoSan Francisco Giants left-hander Alex Wood (leg) exited Tuesday's start against the Miami Marlins after pitching just 2 1/3 innings. He apparently is dealing with a leg problem that he sustained while fielding a bunt during the contest, according to Alex Pavlovic. Before Wood left, he recorded three strikeouts while giving up one run on one hit and a walk. It's tough news to hear, as the 11-year veteran has been solid so far this year, posting a 1.80 ERA and 1.40 WHIP with 11 strikeouts over 10 innings of work.
