Alex Nedeljkovic Lands On Long-Term Injured Reverve
1 year agoPittsburgh Penguins goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic (lower body) has been placed on long-term Injured Reserve. The 27-year-old was hurt Tuesday against Dallas and will now be sidelined for a minimum of 10 games and 24 days. Nedeljkovic has gone 1-1-0 in his first two appearances as a Penguin, allowing 3.01 goals with a .914 save percentage. Pittsburgh has called up Magnus Hellberg from the minors to back up Tristan Jarry until Nedeljkovic is ready to return. The Penguins have no back-to-backs scheduled until Nov. 19, when Nedeljkovic is eligible to return to action, so Jarry should get a lot of burn in the next few weeks.
