Alex Galchenyuk Scores First Wild Goal
5 years agoMinnesota Wild forward Alex Galchenyuk scored his first goal for the team on Wednesday, helping the team to a 4-3 shootout victory in Vancouver. Galchenyuk, who arrived to Minny on Feb. 10 via a trade, produced a late game-tying goal and also notched the winner in the shootout. Kevin Fiala and Luke Kunin scored the first two Minnesota goals. Galchenyuk had a 30-goal year in 2015-16, but he's gotten worse and worse since then, with multiple teams giving him a shot but cutting the ties in a hurry. His start in Minnesota hasn't been very promising either, as this was his first point in four games
