Alex Cobb Removed With Leg Injury Tuesday
San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Alex Cobb (leg) was removed in the fifth inning of Tuesday's game against the New York Mets. He suffered a leg injury while running to cover first base on a play. Dominic Leone entered the game to take over for him. Cobb pitched a total of 4 1/3 innings in the game and allowed six hits, no walks and three runs (two earned) while striking out four. He also left a runner on second base at the time of his departure. We should know more about the nature and severity of the injury after the game.
