Alex Cobb Likely To Start On Injured List
6 years agoBaltimore Orioles general manager Mike Elias said it's likely that starting pitcher Alex Cobb (groin) will start the year on the injured list, but he would be able to return for the home opener. Andrew Cashner is likely to step in and start on Opening Day in place of Cobb. The 31-year-old was 5-15 with a dismal 4.90 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 102 strikeouts in 152 1/3 innings last year. While he did finish the season on a strong note, Cobb shouldn't be considered in mixed leagues and will be a shaky streamer in AL-only leagues and DFS.
