6 years agoBaltimore Orioles starting pitcher Alex Cobb told reporters Friday that his back was improving by the day, but he still was unsure if he would return immediately after his injured list stint was set to end. The 31-year-old would return on Tuesday from his lumbar strain if all went according to plan, but at this point there is no exact date in place. Cobb returned to start Baltimore's home opener, allowing two runs in 5 2/3 innings, but was once again sidelined with the aforementioned injury. He will not be cleared for a return until he throws a side day without any issues.--RDelgado
