Alex Bregman Breaks His Finger On Saturday
2 years agoX-rays confirmed that Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman (finger) suffered a broken left index finger while sliding into second base in the eighth inning of Game 6 of the World Series against the Philadelphia Phillies on Saturday. Bregman won't need surgery, but he'll face an eight-week recovery after winning the World Series. Fantasy managers shouldn't need to worry heading into the 2023 season, as Bregman will be ready for spring training. The 28-year-old stayed in for the rest of the series-clinching win on Saturday night and went 1-for-3 with a walk, run scored and strikeout in the 4-1 win. Bregman went 15-for-51 (.294) with five doubles, three home runs, 11 RBI, seven runs scored, six walks and six strikeouts in 13 postseason games en route to another championship ring.
