2 years agoOnce Hendrick Motorsports won their appeal last week, Alex Bowman was awarded the pole position for the Toyota Owners 400. He was unable to take advantage of the premier starting position, though, leading only eight laps. Although he was not in the lead, he was in the top 10 throughout the race. He finished both Stage 1 and Stage 2 in seventh. Bowman continues to flex his muscle as one of the stronger drivers in the field. Bowman will take that muscle to the Bristol Dirt next weekend, a track that he finished sixth at last year.--Eric DeWilde
