Alek Manoah Gives Up Four Runs To Mariners
2 years agoToronto Blue Jays starting pitcher Alek Manoah's Friday playoff debut started poorly when he allowed three runs in the first inning against the Seattle Mariners. He was able to settle in afterwards but still took the loss, allowing four runs in 5.2 innings while striking out four and walking one during the 4-1 contest. Manoah was a top starting pitcher this season, posting a 2.24 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, 22.9% strikeout rate, and 16-7 record across 31 starts. The right-hander should get the ball for game one or two of the American League Division Series if the Jays make it to the next round.
