5 months agoESPN Senior NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski has reported that veteran guard Alec Burks has signed a one-year deal with the Miami Heat. The 32-year-old was acquired by the New York Knicks from the Detroit Pistons last season and averaged 6.5 points in 13.5 minutes in 23 games during the regular season. He received more playing time in the playoffs when the Knicks were hit with injuries, and scored nearly 18 points per game in the Eastern Conference semifinals. It remains to be seen what type of role Burks will have with the Heat.--Dave Goldsholl - RotoBaller
