Albert Pujols To Provide Power, Little Else In Second Half
6 years agoLos Angeles Angels first baseman Albert Pujols will look to shake loose of a hitting slump that ended his first half of the season when the team plays the Mariners on Friday. The future Hall of Famer is at the point in his career where he is a one-dimensional value in fantasy. His slugging percentage (.425) in the first half would be his highest total since 2016 but is getting on base only at a .302 clip. Pujols has an outside chance at his 16th season of 100 runs batted in or more but will need to improve upon his current batting average of .237 with runners in scoring position. Pujols will occasionally pop a ball over the fence but delivers scant additional value to a fantasy roster at this time.
