New Jersey Devils goaltender Akira Schmid posted his first career postseason shutout in Thursday's Game 5 against the Rangers. The 22-year-old continued to play a key role in New Jersey's comeback effort in the series, stopping all 23 shots he faced in a 4-0 victory. Schmid is now the first goalie in franchise history to start his playoff career with three consecutive victories. The Devils were in huge trouble when they went 2-0 behind on home ice at the start of the series, but a change in goal has completely turned the tide in the matchup. Schmid has allowed only 0.63 goals per game so far with a .976 save percentage.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
