Adrian Sampson Goes Six Innings Monday
6 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Adrian Sampson put up some good numbers against the Houston Astros on Monday. Sampson came in as relief for starter Drew Smyly in the fourth innings and pitched the rest of the game. After being called up from Triple-A earlier in the day Sampson's performance, giving up just one run in those six innings, was promising. Following this outing, Sampson could remain with the Rangers and be used in a similar role, following Smyly. However, the relative lack of strikeouts (three) means that Sampson does not have much fantasy value, even if he remains in a role where he can provide innings for your team.
