6 months agoIndianapolis Colts rookie wide receiver Adonai Mitchell caught two of his four targets for nine yards in the team's 20-17 win over the Tennessee Titans. Mitchell once again saw a limited snap share in the matchup, playing just 15 snaps and running a total of 11 routes. Mitchell appears to be the WR4 option in this offense, which will translate into little fantasy relevancy should he stay in that role. Unless there is an injury to Michael Pittman Jr., Alec Pierce, Josh Downs, or Mitchell earns additional playing time otherwise, he does not make for a viable fantasy option. The rookie is better left on the bench in Week 7 when the Colts take on the Miami Dolphins.--Mo Aneizi - RotoBaller

3 months agoIndianapolis Colts veteran quarterback Joe Flacco wasn't able to really boost rookie wide receiver Adonai Mitchell's output in the Week 17 upset loss to the New York Giants on the road on Sunday. With Anthony Richardson (back) out, Mitchell only hooked up with Flacco two times on four targets for 22 yards. Flacco being under center has helped boost Indy's pass-catchers in fantasy in the games he's started, but it was Michael Pittman Jr. and Alec Pierce who benefitted the most on Sunday at MetLife Stadium in the 45-33 loss, combining for 15 receptions, 231 yards and two touchdowns. The 22-year-old Mitchell has an intriguing skill set for the long term, but he just hasn't had enough opportunities in the Colts' low-volume passing attack with Richardson, who has had his issues with accuracy early in his career. Despite a good matchup in Week 18 against the Jags, Mitchell will be hard to trust in fantasy.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

3 months agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Adonai Mitchell indeed worked as the deep threat in the absence of Alec Pierce (concussion), however, the 22-year-old was targeted just one time in this contest. The rookie wideout hauled in that one target for a big gain of 36 yards, but that was midway through the second quarter and the speedster did not receive another look for the rest of the game. Not that he was the only one who put up disappointing receiving numbers, as Josh Downs "led" the corps with three catches while Michael Pittman Jr. corralled just two. Jonathan Taylor ran all over the Titans, so there was no need for the Colts to ask Anthony Richardson to throw up a lot of passes, completing just 7-of-11 attempts on the day. Assuming Pierce can play next week, Mitchell will again work as the fourth option in a feeble passing attack and should not be trusted in fantasy championships.--Jarod Rupp - RotoBaller

3 months agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Adonai Mitchell has just two receptions over the last four contests, but has an opportunity to get more involved on Sunday against the Titans. With Alec Pierce set to miss the game having not cleared concussion protocol, Mitchell could work in as the primary deep threat in this matchup. That may not mean much for fantasy, however, as the 22-year-old will be on the receiving end of passes coming from quarterback Anthony Richardson who has a 47.0% completion rate, while Pierce recorded three catches or less in 11 of the 13 full games he played prior to Week 15, so Mitchell's workload should look similar. The Titans have allowed the fifth-fewest points to opposing WRs on the season, which won't make it any easier for the wideouts. View Mitchell as nothing more than a WR5/6 dart throw for fantasy on Sunday.--Jarod Rupp - RotoBaller

4 months agoIndianapolis Colts wide receiver Adonai Mitchell didn't catch either of his targets back in Week 13, a disappointing outcome considering the Colts were without one of their top pass catchers in Josh Downs. It was Alec Pierce who earned an uptick in targets, not Mitchell, although there wasn't much production to go around anyway with quarterback Anthony Richardson throwing only 24 passes and completing just 12 of them for 109 yards. The 22-year-old has caught one pass or less in five of his last six games and the Colts take on a daunting Denver pass defense in Week 15, so production could once again come at a premium. Downs had a bye week to recover and although he is questionable, the 23-year-old got in two full practices to end the week so it looks like he has a good shot to play. Regardless of whether he's in or out, it likely doesn't change Mitchell's outlook, which is not good. With the fantasy playoffs upon us, managers should look elsewhere as there should be better options on the waiver wire.--Jarod Rupp - RotoBaller
