Adley Rutschman's X-Rays Come Back Negative
4 months agoX-rays on Baltimore Orioles catcher Adley Rutschman's right hand came back negative, and he's feeling better, but he is out of Friday's starting lineup against the visiting Texas Rangers. Rutschman was hit on his throwing hand in Thursday night's win over the Rangers by a foul tip behind the plate, but he remained in the game and even hit a home run later in the contest. It's great news that he's feeling better and that his X-rays came back negative, but he'll get a day to rest on Friday. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now and check back to see if he's back in there for Saturday's game at Camden Yards. When active, the 26-year-old backstop is one of the most productive catchers in baseball. James McCann is doing the catching for right-hander Albert Suarez on Friday and will hit ninth against Rangers veteran right-hander Max Scherzer, who will be making just his second start of the season.
