Adley Rutschman, Connor Norby Off On Monday
6 months agoBaltimore Orioles catcher Adley Rutschman and rookie infielder Connor Norby are both out of the team's starting lineup on Monday as they take on the Tampa Bay Rays. Rutschman, who went 3-for-5 with a grand slam and career-high six RBI in Sunday's victory, will get a day to rest after his big game over the weekend. It will be his first day off in the team's last 10 games. With Rutschman on the bench, James McCann will take over behind the dish and will bat ninth against Rays right-hander Ryan Pepiot. Since his promotion from Triple-A Norfolk, Norby has started four of the team's eight games but just two of the last six. The 24-year-old is one of the club's top prospects, but he could be sent back to the farm once Jorge Mateo (concussion) returns from the injured list, likely this week. Jordan Westburg is at the keystone and hitting second on Monday.
