Addison Russell To Work At Second Base
6 years agoChicago Cubs manager Joe Maddon said that shortstop Addison Russell will see repetitions at second base while on his minor league rehab assignment. Russell is nearing a return from his 40-game suspension for domestic violence, and he could be an option for the Cubs start next Friday, May 3. However, he is unlikely to play every day and could be used as a utility infielder for Chicago. Russell is three years removed from hitting 21 home runs and driving in 95 runs, but he'll probably only be worth a flier in NL-only leagues.
