2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Adam Wainwright (groin) is scheduled to pitch in his third rehab start on Sunday with Triple-A Memphis. According to Katie Woo, the club is targeting 90 pitches, and if all goes well, it should allow him to join the Cards in early May. The 41-year-old veteran has yet to pitch in Major League action in 2023 due to a groin strain but posted a 3.71 ERA, 17.8% strikeout rate, and 1.28 WHIP last season. Wainwright isn't the pitcher he once was, but he can still provide fantasy managers with decent ratios and a solid win total with the Cardinals offense behind him.--Spencer Seguin
