Adam Wainwright Set To Resume Throwing Program On Monday
1 year agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Adam Wainwright (shoulder) is set to resume his throwing program off the mound on Monday, per manager Oliver Marmol. The 41-year-old hit the injured list in early July with a shoulder strain and has received multiple injections since then. However, it sounds like he's progressing well enough to resume his throwing program on Monday. Marmol also told reporters that Wainwright will rejoin the starting rotation whenever he's activated from the injured list. Wainwright can't be much worse than what he put up earlier in the season with a 7.67 ERA, 1.99 WHIP, and 28:19 K/BB ratio over 51 2/3 innings (11 starts).
