Adam Wainwright Falls Two Outs Short of a Quality Start
5 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Adam Wainwright fell just two outs short of a quality start on Thursday, allowing three runs on six hits and a walk in 5 1/3 innings. He struck out six and threw just 86 pitches on the night. It was a decent enough return from a brief stay on the injured list due to a tight hamstring, but his fantasy owners would have loved to see him get two more outs. He ended up with a no decision and will go into his next start with a 4.50 ERA.
