5 years agoThe St. Louis Cardinals re-signed starting pitcher Adam Wainwright to a one-year contract. Financial terms have not yet been revealed, but this move was mostly a formality, as Cardinals President of Baseball Operations John Mozeliak told reporters a while ago that Wainwright would be sticking with the only major league team he's even played for. Wainwright was solid in 2019, posting a 4.19 ERA and decent strikeout numbers (8.02 K/9). He's more valuable to the Cardinals than to a fantasy team, but he could provide some back-of-the-rotation value in deeper leagues and NL-only formats.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
