6 years agoThe St. Louis Cardinals activated starting pitcher Adam Wainwright (elbow) from the 60-day disabled list on Monday and moved starter Michael Wacha (oblique) to the 60-day DL in a corresponding move. Wainwright was solid on his rehab assignment, but he hasn't pitched since May 13 and wasn't effective in his four big league starts to begin the season. It'd be a very risky move to start him immediately against the Bucs on Monday. Wacha is officially out for the year now after trying to make a comeback to close out the season.
