6 years agoIndianapolis Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri (groin) tested his groin at practice on Thursday after sitting out on Wednesday. However, it doesn't necessarily mean he'll be active in Week 8 against the Raiders. The veteran needs just five points to tie the all-time scoring record. Vinatieri aggravated his groin injury in Week 7 against the Bills and missed two extra-point tries as a result. The Colts have brought in some kickers for tryouts this week, but they haven't signed one yet, which is good news for Vinatieri's status. With Indy on bye next week, the team could play it cautious and keep him out this weekend. Even if Vinatieri plays this weekend in a great matchup against Oakland, he's a very risky kicking option for fantasy owners.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
