2 years agoMinnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen has been having ongoing discussions about his contract with the organization. The 32-year-old wideout is set to earn nearly $20 million for the upcoming 2023 campaign. That is quite a lot of money for a wide receiver that hasn't topped 1,000 yards receiving since 2018. The team could save $6.4 million by cutting Thielen and $13.4 million by releasing him post-June 1 designation. It wouldn't be shocking to see the Vikings move on from Thielen. He has become the No. 3 option on this offense. Another option, would be Thielen taking a paycut to stay in Minnesota. The Vikings would likely be open to this considering Thielen is still productive, but isn't worth the money he is being paid.
