Adam Fox Signs Historic Extension With Rangers
3 years agoNew York Rangers defenseman Adam Fox was tied up for seven more years by the team on Monday with a $66.5 million deal. He's entered the final year of his entry-level contract and the $66.5 million deal marks the largest contract in league history for a defenseman leaving his entry-level deal. Fox, who was drafted by Calgary in the third round in 2016, recorded 47 points in 55 games last season and became the second player ever to win the Norris Trophy before his third NHL season. The 23-year-old is off to another spectacular campaign in 2021-22, boasting two goals and seven assists through nine games with 20 shots, 14 blocks and a plus-five rating.
