Adalberto Mondesi To Undergo MRI
5 years agoUpdating a previous report, Kansas City Royals shortstop Adalberto Mondesi (shoulder) will undergo an MRI exam after leaving the game on Tuesday with a left shoulder injury. He hurt his arm diving for a foul ball in the fifth inning and had to be helped off the field. It sounds like it could be an injury that sends the 23-year-old to the injured list, but you'll have to check back on Wednesday for the results of the MRI. Mondesi still strikes out too much, but he's useful in all fantasy leagues with his .268/.296/.435 slash line, seven homers, 48 runs, 52 RBI and major league-leading 31 stolen bases in 35 attempts. Nicky Lopez would slide over to shortstop if Mondesi misses any time.
