Adalberto Mondesi Injured Tuesday
5 years agoKansas City Royals shortstop Adalberto Mondesi (arm) left the game early on Tuesday after landing hard while diving for a ball in foul territory. He was helped off the field by head trainer Nick Kenney, who was holding Mondesi's left arm. That doesn't sound good at all, but stay tuned for more updates on the specifics and severity of his injury. The 23-year-old had two singles, two runs and a stolen base in three plate appearances before leaving. Losing Mondesi for any amount of time would be very bad news for his fantasy owners and the Royals. He's hitting .268/.296/.435 with seven homers, 48 runs, 52 RBI and a major league-leading 31 stolen bases. Nicky Lopez should shift to the 6 if Mondesi needs to miss additional time.
